Fish Passage Program

A project to bring back the migrating fish to the river

Today we no longer use many of the dams on the river that were built to power the economy. Many of these remain in place, continuing to not only block fish from their native spawning grounds, but keeping wildlife and people from enjoying the resources and excitement of annual fish runs.

Our Goal is to construct fish ladders or remove dams so that the river can once again draw people and wildlife to its banks.

  • I’m new to this what, board, blog? I’m wondering where the fish ladder project is at? When will the first one go in and where? When will the others be installed? What about dams in Massachusetts?
