Secretary of the Interior’s visit to the Blackstone Valley- August 17th

On Wednesday, Aug 17, we are pleased to announce Ken Salazar, Secretary of the Interior will be visiting the Blackstone River Valley. The schedule
currently is for his arrival at 1:45 in Ashton.

We hope you can come out and be part of this historic event. It would be great if you could be there to:
1. Paddle the canal
2. Bike on the bikepath
3. Greet Sec. Salazar as he crosses the bridge over the Blackstone River from Cumberland to Lincoln, RI
4. Bring a table, set up a display, visual’s regarding your
organization and the partnership with the Blackstone River Valley National
Heritage Corridor at the RI Visitor Center at I-295
(this is where the Press conference will be held)
5. Arrive in your period interpretive outfit or wear your
organizations t-shirt/shirt
